In what way could one’s sexual orientation effect one’s ability to be a soldier.
Arguements against gays in the military generally focus around the uncomfortability factor in the barracks. personally, if I were a soldier I would be more worried about having an unqualified bunkmate than a gay one.
There should be absolutely no motivation for a qualified person to be turned away from the military especially in a time of war.
Barack Obama has taken the lead on removing the “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy, and it will be interesting to see if he goes through with it.
